Bo Jackson To Host 5th Annual Celebrity Charity Golf Classic

ABOUT THE EVENT: The fifth annual Bo Jackson Celebrity Charity Golf Classic will be held Friday, June 21, 2013 at the prestigious Bolingbrook Golf Club in Bolingbrook, IL. With stunning views and awe inspiring terrain, this course offers the opportunity to experience a “golf masterpiece” while having fun supporting a great cause.   The event, hosted by Bo Jackson, will again benefit the Give Me A Chance Foundation, which is dedicated to guiding disadvantaged youth towards personal and professional growth. Proceeds go toward the development and support of the many athletic and educational programs offered by the foundation.

Every year, the event draws an All Star list of top name sport celebrities, recording artists, radio and TV personalities. Each foursome will have a special celebrity join them for golf. Guests will also have the extraordinary opportunity to mingle, dine and get autographs from the likes of Bo Jackson, Joe Carter, Eddie George, Ray Lewis, Stan Makita, Fred McGriff and many more stars from the sports and entertainment world.

The program includes a round of golf, driving range, continental breakfast, lunch, attendee gift bag, dinner, and DJ entertainment. In addition, the day will be highlighted by an extensive silent and live auction featuring rare sports/entertainment collectibles, along with special promotions on every hole, prizes, awards, contests and photo opportunities with the stars. The foundation is proud to have a number of Fortune 500 sponsors for this event including Nike, New Era, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Maui Jim, and many more top corporations.

“I am genuinely excited about the impact our charity golf classic has made on so many. The foundation is uniquely positioned to use all of our personal experiences to find the best programs to support and nurture the kids we help. Most of us have been blessed in life, relationships and in business. We should each have a moral obligation to give back to the community” said Werner Koos, Board of Directors President, Give Me A Chance Foundation.

Not a golfer? There are many other opportunities to get involved in this worthwhile event. Those interested are welcome to donate a prize for inclusion in the silent auction or raffle, volunteer or make a cash donation. The Give Me A Chance Foundation is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation, with all donations fully tax deductible.
